The Inside play
RyLee Grays LBC Jada Malone LBC
Jada Malone and RyLee Grays are both #BCSLocks, no question about it and Malone carried the squad early as she was simply unstoppable. The thing about Jada is that at 6’4, she can also face the basket and score and she gave a glimpse of that well. RyLee is just turning into an absolute BEAST and she finishes so strongly I sometimes feel it from the stands but her upside is still untapped
The outside play
Emily Dogbaste LBC Aiken Semones LBC
Aiken Semones has got to be among the leaders in 3 point shooting percentage in the state, she’s dropped 7, 8 and 9 already and in the latter, I think she took 12, that’s 75%, I don’t need a calculator and she’s been shooting the 3 since, what else, the third grade. Her defense has elevated as well as creating shots off the dribble but another long-range boost has got to be from the return of Emily Dogbaste. The UNSIGNED senior is definitely a D1 player, she elevates on the jumper, can hit the midrange as well as finish after contact but her athleticism creates issues on the other hand
Sydney Ward and Carly Sampson steadily climbing
Sidney Ward LBC Carly Sampson LBC
The first time I saw Ward play I had her number mistaken with another player and the second go-round, I was wondering had someone had spiked my punch. All was fine because I actually got the game right and she is everything I said she was but once she realizes she can take over at the blink of an eye, all bets are off. She’s long, athletic plays the passing lane hits the mid to long-range jumper or just jumps over defenders. Carly Sampson is playing within herself and under control, her intensity is second to none, she goes hard and that’s to the rim or on defense and she can make things happen, good things
Tymberlin Criswell MVP effort
Tymberlin Criswell LBC saveI actually believe in forms of nepotism and the first time I heard Timi in a gym, I switched courts because that’s my nickname. 5 years later, I’m usually always on her court and her progression over the years proves I was right, yet again. She’s athletic, acrobatic and scores every way imaginable but her ball-handling under pressure was something I wanted to see develop and it has because when you can handle the pressure that was coming at her and make things happen, there it is
