Allison Basye, 5’11”, SG, Huntington Ross/SCBC. Basye has that rare blend of athleticism, good size frame, and a very good vertical. She uses that combination to rebound the ball really well and elevate over defenders to finish. Gets off the floor on her jumper which she shoots with range. Handles the ball well and sets her man up for counter moves to get into the lane where she finishes well. Draws a lot of fouls to get to the line, where she shoots 87% from the line, last year hit 26 FT’s in a row. Her athleticism and ability to attack rebounds with both hands and score around the rim allowed her to pick up multiple offers and interest this past summer.
Mackenzie Hurd, 5’10”, G, Nelsonville York/Team OHIO. Good sized frame that compliments her physical play. Aggressive offensively and uses her strength well to get into the lane absorb contact and finish. Can make shots at all 3 levels, but loves to get into the lane. Smart player who sees the floor well, solid passer and defender. Picked up D1 offer and interest after a strong spring and summer.
Alaina Keeny, 5’10”, W, Wheelersburg HS/WV Dynasty 21. A long wing that is versatile, HI IQ Player who does a lot for her team. A very good passer who sees the floor. Comfortable distributing the ball and setting up others. However will take defenders to the rim or knock down the open Trey. Gets out in transition well and a hard worker on defense. Rebounds the ball well.
Teagan Bartoe, 5’8”, SG, Vinton County/SCBC. A Scorer, Bartoe has big time range and has no problem using it. Gets her shot off quick and needs little space to do so. This summer worked hard on getting by defenders and getting to the rim where she was very good at finishing. Nice crossover allows her to blow by them. Defensively works hard and quick enough to guard both 1 and the 2 positions. Hi IQ player, who understand how to win. Several schools tracking.
Bri Claxon, 5’5”, PG, South Webster HS. Super quick guard who gets foul line to line with ball extremely fast. Has a very nice mid range pull up that she uses well. Gets her defender going full speed and stops and they go right on by. Which sets her up for the times she attacks the defender and get into the lane where she will finish over bigger defenders. Tough guard who goes full speed all the time. On defenses her quickness continues to show up, getting into passing lanes and hounding ball handlers.
