The power rankings for this week are determined by games completed prior to December 1st and all teams listed belong to the Northeast District board and subsequent sectional and district tournaments.
Division 1
1. Medina
2. GlenOak
3. Stow

4. Hoban
5. Wadsworth
Yet again, Division 1 is loaded in Northeast Ohio. There are teams like Aurora, Eastlake North, Massillon Jackson and Canton McKinley that did not even crack these initial rankings. As these teams play more games – we are anxious to get more clarity and see how these teams stack up with one another.
Division 2
1. Laurel
2. Gilmour Academy
3. Akron St. Vincent St. Mary’s
4. Southeast
5. Perry (Lake)
Laurel has certainly looked tremendous in their two wins over Lutheran East and Cleveland Villa-Angela St. Joseph’s. The Gators are deep and they have 5 different players averaging double-figures offensively – led by stud freshman Mari Bickley, who is scoring nearly 18 points per night.
Division 3
1. Chippewa
2. Elyria Catholic
3. Loudonville
4. Champion
5. Smithville
The Chippewa Chipps, last year’s regional champions, have been short-handed to start this season – playing without their 2nd leading scorer Taylor Thomas and freshman guard Abby Henegar. When they return to full-force, they should be a clear #1 – with familiar foes Elyria Catholic and Loudonville on their heels.
Division 4
1. Cornerstone Christian Academy
2. Dalton
3. Western Reserve (Berlin Center)
4. Newton Falls
5. Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas
A loss to Berlin Hiland doesn’t hurt Cornerstone Christian here, although Dalton, Western Reserve and Newton Falls have all really impressed in early season victories.
