Poll: PGH Player of the Week (Week 2)
With the first two weeks of the season over with, we had a lot of very qualified nominees for our Player of the Week poll. We whittled the list down to the top 10 nominees. Polls are open until noon on Friday!
Ella Thompson, Bethlehem – In a 3 win week for the Banshees, Thompson scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against Taylor County, 29 points and 12 rebounds against Thomas Nelson and 23 points and 11 rebounds against Nelson County.
Kylie Jackson, Green County – In 2 wins, Jackson scored 24 points and gathered 8 rebounds against Hart County and then had 17 points and 6 rebounds against Caverna.
Sereniti Webb, Simon Kenton – In 3 wins for Simon Kenton (over GRC, Dixie Heights and Walton-Verona), Webb combined for 48 points, 21 rebounds, 7 assists, 8 steals and 9 blocks.
Sydnie Hall, South Laurel – Hall only had 3 points on Thursday in a win over Shelby Valley but had 24 points on 8/13 from three as South Laurel won the WYMT Mountain Classic. Eight threes was a record for the Mountain Classic.
Elizabeth Bertram, Barren County – The Senior scored 16 points in a win over Monroe County on Friday then followed up with 26 points in a Saturday loss to Elizabethtown.
Camryn LaGrange, Madisonville-North Hopkins – The Sophomore had 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in a win over Christian County then added 14 points, 4 assists and 5 steals in a win over Webster County.
Kennedy Harris, Southwestern – Despite a slow start to the week with only 3 points in a loss to Casey County, Harris bounced back with 31 points in a win over Scott County then finished the week with a win over Graves County where she scored 10 points and added 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Maggi Jones, Simon Kenton – In the win over GRC, the Senior had 18 points, against Dixie Heights she led the team with 22 points and then she ended the week with 13 points against Walton-Verona.
