This “Dream Team” is deep, athletic, and skilled at every position. They would be versatile, having players that can excel on various parts of the floor. There are athletes, shooters, and powerful players in the paint. This team could feasibly field 3-4 different starting lineups.
Starters
PG: Damiya Hagemann (PG, Detroit Edison)
Hagemann is an elite floor general. She can put a pass on a dime and can deliver it with flare.
Wing: Morasha Wiggins (Wing, Kalamazoo Central)
Wiggins is as aggressive as they come on both ends of the floor. She causes chaos for the opposing offense.
Wing: Breanne Salenbien (Wing, Lenawee Christian)
Salenbien is an elite wing. She’s smooth and fast getting up and down the floor and finishes in transition.
PF: Alana Micheaux (PF, Wayne Memorial)
Micheaux can absolutely dominate in the paint. She’s an elite post defender and rebounder.
F/C: A.J. Ediger (F/C, Hamilton)
Ediger can score in a variety of ways and is a double-double machine.
Bench
Kenzie Bowers (G, Kent City)
Bowers provides the team with a pure shooter. She’s one of the best 3 point shooters in the state regardless of class.
Jillian Brown (CG, East Grand Rapids)
Not starting? I know, but trust me, she’d get starter minutes. Her ability to play either guard spot, shoot, and defend would make her one of the most valuable pieces on the team.
Kailee Davis (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Davis is a waterbug style guard. She’d be a playmaker and an energy player for this squad.
Kaybriana Hallman (F, East Kentwood)
Hallman’s versatility and athleticism would be a huge value on the “Dream Team”.
Ally VanTimmeren (F, Jenison)
She is another one that I had a hard time not starting. VanTimmeren would be a force and add rebounding off the bench.
