Prep Hoops Girls takes a look at the #3 ranked player for the class of 2021, Kennedy Taylor.  A 6'3 junior post player for Shawnee Mission Northwest Lady Cougars and KC Dream Basketball Club.

It's pretty hard to believe Kennedy just started playing competitive basketball in the spring of her 8th-grade year. Before she began to take it seriously she'd try her hand at things such as cheerleading and even volleyball. Basketball would seem to be the favorite, yet only competed in local recreational leagues where you could find her standing close to the basket outreaching girls a foot shorter than her for rebounds and put-backs. We asked Kennedy what made her decide to make basketball a top priority and who has been some of her biggest influences.

" When I was younger I use to go to SM Northwest games and there was a girl named Broklyn Wagner that played.  Every game i'd watch her it made me fall in love with the game and I knew that's what I wanted to devote my time to and one day that would be me.  My parents were also influential in where I was
