Here’s a look at some of the top standouts from this game.
1. Aliyah Pollard Aliyah Pollard 5'11" | SG LACES | 2021 State CA – LACES 2021
Pollard seems to be one of the better kept secrets in the LA area. She’s a solid guard who looks to have a bright future ahead of her. She can play in the post and take advantage of smaller guards. She can create her own shot on the perimeter and she can handle the ball and run the offense. Defensively, she can stay with guards, and at times, match up against bigger players in the post.

Moawad is a talented player in the low post. She is strong and has good footwork. She can establish post position well and she finishes strong at the rim with either hand. She rebounds well and crashes the offensive glass for put-backs. She can run the floor in transition and she makes strong cuts to the rim off ball. Sets solid screens. She has a nice turnaround jumper in the mid-post.
3. Kenna McConnachie – LACES 2023
McConnachie is only a freshman, but she has solid court awareness and skill for a young player. She has all the makings of being a lethal scoring guard at the high school level. She can create her own shot well on the perimeter. She puts the ball on the floor and can finish strong at the rim. She runs the floor well in transition and can play off the ball or with the ball in her hands.
4. Karen Garcia – Santa Monica 2023
Garcia is a quick and crafty guard who can play either off-guard or run the point. She has a great first step and can get past defenders on her way to the rim. She has a good outside shot with a quick release. While she can score, she does well in looking for her teammates and setting them up for easy shots. Good at finding the balance between looking for her own shot and creating looks for her teammates.
5. Deyla Davis – LACES 2023
A solid player for a freshman, Davis is another strong scorer for LACES. She is a strong player in the paint. She can put the ball on the floor and use her strength to get to the rim.
