Oriyanna Barnes, 5’4, G, 2021, Grandview
Barnes is a fiery player who works hard on both ends of the floor. She’s averaging eight points and three rebounds and at least two steals per game. Barnes looks to pass but can also make plays for herself as well. She can hit shots from a distance and shows a lot of hustle and heart on the floor.
Ashley Hall, G, 2022, St. Pius X
A young player for St. Pius X who has the ability to operate as a ball handling guard or a scoring option. Hall has a good feel for the floor and shows a willingness to play hard, aggressive and look to score. She’s averaging 7.3 points and adds 2.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. A strong player who looks to get physical and make plays.
Caroline Kelly, 5’8, G, 2020, Kearney
A quick guard who can handle the ball and create opportunities for herself and those around her. Kelly can get to the basket quickly and looks to finish quickly before the defense collapses. She can also knock down jump shots and can find her stroke from a distance as well. She runs hard and plays defense and looks to force turnovers and kick off the transition game. She leads her team in scoring with 15 points per game and adds 2.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds 2.8 steals and one block per game.
Mia Simone, 5’9, G, 2021, St. Pius X
A guard for St. Pius who shows flexibility on the perimeter. Simone is the leading scorer for her team and has good experience and ball control. Simone is averaging 12 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 56 percent from inside the perimeter. She brings a lot of hustle to the floor and understands her role and how to put herself in a position to score. Someone who can handle the ball some and operate off the ball and a catch-and-shoot player.
Jessie Reeter, 5’5, G, 2023, Chillicothe
A solid young guard for Chillicothe who can play well on both sides of the floor. Reeter can score in a variety of ways both inside the perimeter and from 3-point range. She’s averaging eight points, 2.7 assists and two rebounds per game. She’s shooting over 50 percent from the field and 74 percent from the free throw line. An interesting prospect in the 2023 class.
Cierra Smith, 5’7, G, 2022, Grandview
Smith is a terrific young player for Grandview who shows speed, smarts and skills. She can handle the ball for herself and shows the ability to create opportunities out of nothing. Smith’s quickness sets her apart and shows a lot of promise overall as a future prospect. She’s averaging 19.5 points, two rebounds and 3.3 steals per game. She’s also shooting 74 percent from the free throw line. A sophomore guard on the rise.
