Jessica Brooks, 5’11, F, 2020, MICDS
An intelligent, physical forward who adds seasoned play and athleticism. She has good handles for the position and knows how to score off angles and how to use her frame to give her an edge and the space needed to score. She has a soft touch to her game and is completing 69 percent from the field inside the perimeter, and 72 percent from the free throw line as she’s hit 18-25. Brooks is also averaging 6.8 rebounds and three plus steals per game.
Amori Dampier-McCloud, 5’11, G/F, 2020, Gateway STEM
Dampier-McCloud is a confident two-way player who brings size, skill and athleticism to the floor. She is a solid rebounder on both ends and can force turnovers and get in the face of opponents and contest shots well. She can also score for herself, but she’s unselfish when it matters. She’s averaging 10 points, 6.5 rebounds, two steals and one block per game.
Jakayla Kirk, 5’10, F, 2020, Hazelwood Central
A nice forward for Hazelwood Central who plays hard on both ends of the floor. She is leading her team in scoring with 16 points per game with 63 percent from the field inside the perimeter. She is an aggressive player and is a terrific rebounder on the defensive side of the floor. She’s also a good shot blocker and rim protector and can find ways to force turnovers and get Hazelwood Central’s transition game going.
Abby Potter, 5’7, G/F, 2020, Summit
An underrated combo player who sees a lot of time in a variety of positions. She is a strong defensive player inside and can score well around the basket as well. Potter is averaging over nine points per game while shooting 58 percent from the floor. She is hitting nearly 70 percent from the free throw line (16-23) and also adds 5.3 rebounds and 2 steals a game.
Katie Rodriguez, 5’9, G/F, 2020, Villa Duchesne
Rodriguez sees a lot of playing time and has a lot of responsibility as the leading scorer for Villa Duchesne. She is a seasoned player who knows how to score and can operate well and spot several schemes and put herself in a good position to score. She’s averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game while shooting 42 percent from the field, 60 percent from the three point line and 55 percent from the free throw line.
