Midland High 66, Mount Pleasant 23
Midland High Top Scorers:
Jordan Phillips (senior) led with 18 points, Alyssa Chritz (senior) scored 15 points and Olivia Carpenter (junior) added 13 points Phillips, Chritz, Carpenter and teammate, Anna Tuck (junior) were featured in the spotlight before the season started. The Lady Chemics are on the right path for a successful season. Catch their next game on Friday, December 13th against Bay City Western High School.

Nouvel Top Scorer:
Grace Chacon (sophomore) led with 18 points. Chacon was named a key player for Nouvel this season.
Valley Lutheran Top Scorers:
Faith Peplinski (senior) also scored 18 points. Peplinki is a 5’4″ point guard.
Standish-Sterling 45, Freeland 36
Standish-Sterling Top Scorer:
Macey Fegan led with 19 points. This freshman is leaving her mark in every game so far this season. Fegan was named a standout for week one of the season – stay tuned to see if she makes the list two weeks in a row.
Ithaca 35, Michigan Lutheran Seminary 33
Ithaca Top Scorer:
Emma Belles (senior) scored 17 points. Belles hit the game winning shot with only 1.8 seconds left on the clock.
Frankenmuth 62, Birch Run 32
Frankenmuth Top Scorer:
Zoey Persails (sophomore) led with 12 points. Persails is a 5’9″ guard and has many schools interested in her since her freshman year. Keep Persails at the top of your watchlist.
Birch Run Top Scorer:
Sarah Miller (senior) scored 19 points. Miller is a 5’10” guard and is committed to Saginaw Valley State University.
Hemlock 62, St. Charles 41
Hemlock Top Scorers:
Regan Finkbeiner led with 30 points and Kylee Ryder followed with 12 points. Finkbeiner is a force on the court. In 2019, she was named the one-on-one champion at her skills camp.
Swan Valley 59, Alma 55
Swan Valley Top Scorer:
Taylor Sas (senior) led with 22 points. Sas is a 5’8″ guard who won Player of the Week last year with over 17,000 votes. Let’s see how many votes she gets this week.
Alma Top Scorers:
Jordan Cleveland scored 27 points and Alyssa Leister (junior) added 16 points. Last week in a victory over Carrollton, Cleveland had a double-double; 19 points and 10 rebounds. Leister is a 5’10” wing.
Carrollton 55, Millington 49
Carrollton Top Scorer:
Madison Byrd led with 25 points for Carrollton’s first win of the season.Byrd scored double digits in both games in week 1. Despite both losses, Byrd was nominated as a Player of the Week prospect.
Millington Top Scorer:
Dylan Holmes (sophomore) scored 13 points. Holmes is a 5’6″ guard for the Cardinals.
