I added many players to the Top 100, Tierney Coleman came from nowhere to jump into the Top 25 and I always say this about watch lists, watch how those lists change after seeing more players and here are others who jumped into the Top 100
Kylie Loftus-6’0 P (Arlington Martin) Powerful moves on the inside and finishing strongly will carryover at Virginia Commonwealth but her presence and composure stood out as much as her defense and rebounding. She also faced the basket to score as well as attacked the rim
Addisyn Moore-5’11 F (Trinity Christian) Oral Roberts is definitely getting a throwback player who goes after everything in the paint, on the floor, and off of the glass but even more importantly, she plays bigger than she is. Battling usually crosses over to the next level quickly and that’s another plus
Tyajia Coleman-5’9 G (Trinity Christian) Oral Roberts with the Trinty Christian trifecta as Tyajia joins twin sister Tierney Coleman as well as teammate Addisyn Moore but make no mistake, she’s explosive off the dribble, heady on both of the court and can score. Oh yeah, that first step…..
Dorian Norris-6’0 F (Lake Dallas) long and athletic is the base, I repeat that over and over in case you catch it on a test yet many will still miss it and it’s multiple choice of one. She attacks from multiple angles, finishes with contact and showed she could face the basket and score. All this on my initial sighting
Chelsea Wooten-5’5 G (McKinney North) someone had told me she moved to Oklahoma, someone was definitely wrong because she would’ve been on here already but in 2015, I wrote this. Nightmare in the open court sees the floor and hits the long ball, I was on the money as usual
D’Ambria White-6’1 P (Kileen Ellison) one more time, long and athletic yet her desire just jumped out me at the Katy Classic and even more so at the Sandra Meadows Classic. She rebounds and won’t take no for an answer, she defends and she doesn’t mind diving on the floor yet she also scores well in the paint, that includes contact
Cheyanne Bonilla-5’6 G (El Paso Eastlake) “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” please lock that in somewhere so you won’t be misled. I knew she was good and could play at the next level yet her Katy Classic shootathon left me speechless as she mixed it up, mid to long and off the dribble, plus she handles the ball under pressure and saw the floor. Oh yeah, she went over 2000 points for her career last month
Malon Garner-5’6 G (Yates) one of the Houston areas best scorers and when she’s on, she pretty hard to contain. Her range is somewhere between NBA and another time zone, and that’s with the catch and shoot but when the pressure is on, she wants the “money shot” and believe me, she delivers more times than not. All of this on top of I’m told she’s also #1 in her class
Catherine Van Pelt-5’9 G (Duchesne) she’s one of those players that prove “looks are deceiving” because she does so many things well, scores inside, outside or attacking, she rebounds and defends but what she really does more than anything is “make her teammates better” and when you accomplish that, well you get the picture
