I rearranged the Top 25 for a number of reasons, I caught players I hadn’t seen that simply stood out under the bright lights and I’ll be rearranging it again after the season and then after the “club basketball” season, there is no AAU so the only thing I can say is what I used to tell my own daughter and that is show it on the court and when she stepped on, she was one if not the best every time so use that mindset and make sure you’re “handler” turns in a roster
Taylor HagganThe Watch List now has 55 players who have shown me that they have college potential, at some level and many listed will play D1 basketball, it’s that simple and again, I haven’t been wrong this century. I caught Taylor Haggan at Pass Tha Ball’s The South Event last year and her mindset, effort and just putting it all out there told me a lot and she’s been upgraded as she has made the transition nicely in high school.
Riley McCloskey
Talk about making the transition, Riley McCloskey (Memorial) is showing size don’t matter when you can play and she has started her high school career off fiercely as she’s one of the areas top long ball shooters at right around 35% while averaging double digits. I love heady guard play, guards win game and McCloskey’s mindset is and always has been is to get the job done and she’s showing it over and over
Jorynn Ross
Jorynn Ross (John Cooper) was added after catching the last 5 minutes of her game against Trinity Christian, it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against and she battled with signed D1 players and made her presence felt. The great thing about her is she’s nowhere near her peak and that’s scary because with time, energy and what’s that word, mindset, there’s no telling how high she’ll fly
Kadia Ward Midlothian
Kadia Ward (Midlothian) one of the wisest moves I’ve made is to go back to my roots and by that, it means what my, what’s that word, mindset when no one was talking about Texas players so leaving the Metroplex to head to Waco for the MT Rice Tournament may be questioned by some but it gave me plenty answers as a number of players were added to the various classes and I wrote this about Ward
