Seton Catholic once again comes in at the #1 spot. They are ranked #1 by PGH AZ and the AIA. They have been demolishing everyone in their way all season. Mesquite actually gave them a run for their money and now SC has to take on Saguaro. That’ll be a fun game to watch! Seton holds their future in their own hands. They just have to keep winning to remain at the top of the rankings. Which is a nice luxury to have since you don’t have to worry about other teams having to lose.
#2 Shadow Mountain
Shadow Mountain comes in at #2. They still just have the one loss to Seton Catholic. They’ve been taking care of business and winning big, even without star play Dyamond Butler-Worley. They have a big game coming up against Pinnacle that will be a huge show of true talent for both teams.
#3 Sahuaro
Sahuaro probably would’ve dropped down on the list, after their loss to Sabino. However, Greenway and Saguaro also dropped a game. So luckily for Sahuaro, they remain in the #3 spot. Seeing them play in person finally was a big help in evaluating them. I still think there’s a big difference between the top two teams and the rest of 4A but anything can happen in playoffs!
#4 Greenway
As mentioned before, Greenway dropped a game. Their only loss thus far came against Shadow Mountain. While SM was short handed and Senya Rabouin was visibly sick, they still managed to win the game. Greenway looked solid and I think they’d be a really good match up with Sahuaro. I hope we see these two teams play! That’d be exciting as they have a very similar play style and players that match up well against one another.
#5 Flagstaff
Flagstaff makes their debut in the top 5. I will admit I have not seen this team play yet, but soon will! They have had a really tough schedule and remain 11-3. The biggest reason they jump up into the top 5 is because they beat a former top 5 team, Saguaro. Their 3 losses come against Winslow, Seton Catholic, and Shadow Mountain. Sounds like 3 solid teams to me! Flagstaff is also ranked #5 in the AIA rankings.
