We have come up with a few names in California and we will also put up statistics to prove the point that these girls our worthy of the nomination and as well should be on the ballot for the voting that will be taking place soon. These are our opinions and nothing more than that, I am not a McDonald All American game Voter, but aspire to be in the near future, so I wanted to shed some light on some of the girls in California with National talent appeal. The following names were compiled by our 8 person committee and take a look and see if you agree or not agree, this information is always backed up with facts and truth, no favorites being pushed here.
2020 Players that we believe should have a chance to represent Nationally at this event:
2020, 6’3, PF, Chaminade Preparatory High School, Alexis Whitfield – Alexis is a do it all wing guard that has already commited to University of Washington for the reason of her total skill package she possesses. She can handle the ball like a point guard, then break you down off the dribble and take you to the rim, then hit you with a pull up from the three line. She is tough, she is fearless and she is a team leader and that is why we believe she has a chance to get be on the ballot for the game.
2020, 6’2, CG, Sierra Canyon High School, Alexis Mark – Alexis can play, she is one of the most athletic guard/wing players in the state of California. She is defensively talented a great deal and she is a problem each and every time she is on the floor for any opponent. She is a natural scorer, going to the rim strong and can create contact and keep her body in control to finish thru the contact. We love her midrange jumper from the free throw line, she is still developing the three ball, but she deserves to be on the ballot for the burger game. (Committed to Boise State University)
2020, 5’8, PG, Sierra Canyon High School, Vanessa De Jesus – Vanessa is one of the smoothest guards in the state as well as one of the nations best at that position. She is very skilled with all aspects of the game as well as skilled at shooting the ball from all three levels and her handles are impeccable. She is a floor general in every since of the word and just has an IQ for the game that is unmatched right now. (Committed to Duke University)
2020, 5’10, CG, Oaks Christian High School, Taylor Donaldson – Taylor is the all-around player that every team wants on their team, she is skilled in all aspects of the game and is one of the best competitors in the state. She has improved her three point shot tremendously, shooting over 40% and because she is lefty, her shot is nice and smooth, her midrange is immaculate and her drive game to the rim is unstoppable. This is a special one, coaches trust me, she is a player at the next level. (Committed to New Mexico State University).
2020, 5’7, PG, Sierra Canyon High School, Ashley Chevalier – Ashley is that put on a hard hat type of player in each game, she is one of the toughest girls I have seen play the game in the state. She is relentless and it shows each and every time she is on the floor, which makes her a problem for anyone, she is quick, she is strong, she is crafty and she is also a sweet lefty on the floor that has a great midrange game. Her three point shot is improving fine and she is is quite the defensive stopper on the floor at all times. She is (Committed to University of Texas).
2020, 6’3, C, Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Ugonne Onyiah – Is the most dominant big in the state of California and I believe she is worthy of a McDonalds nominee and most likely will play in the game from SoCal. She blocks shots with great timing and is one of better threats in the paint to score at all times on the floor. She works hard and no one has been able to match her drive and determination on the floor this year. (Committed to Cal Berkeley)
2020, 5’10, SG, La Jolla Country Day, Te Hina PaoPao – Is exciting to watch, she is a bucket-getter and she is also what most are not, a Dog. She is tough, quick, crafty and one of the most skilled players in the nation as well, but that is already known, what you might not know is that she is one of the most humble players you will ever meet. Love watching this kid play, her nomination is very well deserved, I expect her to be in the game. (Committed to University of Oregon)
2020, 5’7, PG, Rosary Academy, Asia Avinger – Asia is a firecracker, she is determine to make her compete and win each and every time she is on the floor. She is shooting the ball at a high clip from all three levels right now and is a threat to score on anyone guarding her. She handles well and does not turnover, she is quick, strong and athletic for her size, she is defensively gifted and will lock you down when she puts her mind to it. (Committed to San Diego State University)
