This past weekend was the seasons second installment of the Chicagoland Invitational Showcase, this time hosted by Benet Academy. One of my favorite weekends of the year, the event showcased several great matchups and dozens of intriguing prospects. Here are some of my top Stockrisers from the Showcase:

Barrington Freshman Sophie Swanson continues to make her name known with yet another outstanding performance against Plainfield Central, putting up 26 points for the game. The 5’10” Combo Guard shoots the ball at a high rate from outside and has shown she can do well in the lane. Swanson has good strength and can hold her own against older and bigger opponents on the defensive end.

Cassidy Arni out of Geneva had an impressive performance against a tough Maine West squad, leading her team with 14 points. The 6’0” Freshman Forward has the size and strength to compete in the lane on both ends and ability to stretch the floor with a good-looking outside shot.

The third Freshman on this list, Joliet West’s Lisa Thompson showed why her potential is so high. The 5’8” Combo Guard is super athletic and tough to stay in
