Other matchups on Sunday included Mason v Newark, Eastlake North v Fairmont, Toledo Notre Dame v Lakota West, Canton Glen Oak v Wayne and Gahanna Lincoln v Centerville.
There were several seniors who performed well on this day, including these 5 listed below:
Gabby Stare Gabby Stare 5'8" | CG Newark High School | 2020 OH , 5-10 Newark
I have followed her career every since she was a freshman, and she has developed into a great all around player. Gabby is a silky smooth point guard with great handles, controls the tempo of the game and is a great floor leader. Deep range from beyond the arc and one of the most consistent players from all over the floor. Great passer, dished out seven assists in this game. Multi-sport athlete, headed to Ohio Dominican to play basketball and volleyball.
Destiny Leo Destiny Leo 5'9" | CG Eastlake High School | 2020 State OH , 5-10 Eastlake North
After Eastlake North fell behind by 20 at halftime to Fairmont, they battled even in the second half. Everyone struggles from the field, but it didn’t let it affect her game, finishing with three assists and only one turnover. She can get to the rim, has good handles and sees the floor well. Leo is headed to Cleveland State. Despite a rough game from the perimeter, Destiny is a prolific scorer from beyond the arc.
Kyndall Ketterer, 5-10 Fairmont
The first player off the bench for the Firebirds, she played 15 minutes and did a lot little things for her team. She showed her range with a three and displayed her versatility with three assists. Headed to Urbana to play basketball, Kyndall is a smart, heady player with a good basketball IQ.
Alanna Carter, 5-9 Mason
Had a productive day on Sunday in their loss to Newark. Carter scored eight points with a team-high four assist, as she can find the better shot for her team. Good on-ball defender with quick hands. Good range on her shot, a definite threat from the perimeter.
Nyla Hampton Nyla Hampton 5'7" | CG Wayne High School | 2020 State OH , 5-7 Wayne
This kid can do it all from the guard spot. Super quick with the ball, can create on the fly, or bury the three in a half court attack. Nyla has great range, solid handles, always sees the floor. Can slash and score as well. Great lateral movement on defense, will pressure her defender into turnovers. Bowling Green is getting a good one.
