I will take two more looks at the Classic in the Country, held last weekend at Hiland High School. Today, a look at the youngsters from Sunday, as there were several key sophomores and freshman who left their mark on this prestigious event.

Maddie Meisicky, 6-0 2022, Newark

Wow..this kid will be a special one.  She's already on her way with a multitude of ways to be productive. Maddie has great court awareness and knows where to be. She has good movement without the ball, and a high basketball IQ. She is a solid defensive player with active hands, and often gets overlooked on a team filled with next-level kids. Gabby Razzano, 6-1 2023, Mason

I already raved about hos good Margo Mattes is..maybe the best freshman I have seen this year. Not to be outdone is her teammate Gabby Razzano, who had a really good day on Sunday. Gabby also has solid range out to the arc and beyond, ahs great court awareness for her age and can score from anywhere inside the arc, as she has a nice midrange shot.
