The undefeated Howard Lions visited the defending 2A state champion River Hill Hawks in a battle of two of Howard county's finest. A raucous crowd filled the gym and they were treated to fast paced, hotly contested first quarter which ended with River Hill up 17-16. A strong surge to start the second quarter is all Howard needed to take control of the game. They took a 33-25 lead into the half and never looked back, winning 66-43. The Howard county title is theirs to lose at this points.

Anii Harris, Howard, Senior

Anii was on another level tonight. Her athleticism has always been off the charts, but she has improved her shooting and ball handling so she has become a real tough cover. Her improved free throw shooting will help Howard down the stretch. She led everybody with 26 points.Anii has signed with Salem University.

Gabrielle Kennerly, Howard, Freshman

It was really good to see "GK" back for Howard. A torn ACL set delayed what was supposed to be a promising season for one of the freshmen in the area. This was her second game back and she continues to make progress. She is nowhere near
