Standish-Sterling 65, Essexville Garber 51
Standish-Sterling Top Scorers:
The freshman does it again. Macey Fegan is in the spotlight once again this week after her 25 point performance against Garber. Two other players who impacted the scoreboard are Karleigh McBride (2020) with 16 and Brenna Bartlett (2021) with 13.
Garber Top Scorers:
Hannah Jatczak (2020) led the Dukes with 18 points and Kaya McGinnis (2022) followed with 12.
Midland Dow 48, Bay City Western 29
High scoring did not win this game – defense did. Midland Dow came to play and they did not let up. Bay City Western was not prepared to play with this level of defense. Dow scoring was led by Abby Rey (2022) who scored 11 and Jada Garner with 9 points.

Pinconning 58, Beaverton 40
Pinconning Top Scorer:
Lauren Laures (2020) continues to set the pace for the Lady Spartans as they continue their winning streak. Five straight wins is their longest winning streak in years – since 2002. Laures hit five 3-pointers to lead with 24 points. She was just 3 points shy of hitting her 1,000th career point. Laures is expected to hit this milestone against Gladwin on Wednesday, Jan. 15th.
Gladwin 42, Farwell 39
Gladwin Top Scorer:
Gladwin’s victory over Farwell was a team effort as scoring was nearly equal across the board. Two players came in clutch with only seconds remaining. Delaney Cote hit a 3-pointer to lead the game. With less than a second left, Heidi Inscho made free throws the ensure the win.
