Tuesday’s matchup of Northridge and Centaurus was expected to be an evenly matched game between two young teams. The contest started with both teams showing their powerful capabilities until Northridge took a comfortable lead and refused to slow down. Here is a look back at some of the game’s standout players:

McKenna Cone – 2021 Guard – Northridge

Cone finished the game as the leading scorer with 18 points, 11 of which came in the first quarter. She plays with an intensity that makes her a very dangerous scorer, as well as a relentless defender. She shot 50% (two of four) from three-point range and 60% (six of ten) from two-point range. Cone also recorded four rebounds to help lead her team to a win.

Julia Mischke – 2021 Guard - Centaurus

Mischke finished the night with 16 points, second-most in the game. She also tallied four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. She is averaging 13 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. Mischke was a definite standout in this contest.

Makenna Shaffer – 2022 Guard/Forward – Northridge
