MICDS
Jessica Brooks 5’10” (‘20): The versatile wing player scored a game-high 18 points and did a little of everything as she also had nine rebounds, four assists and a steal. Ellie Gira 6’0” (‘22): The versatile young forward had one of the best games in her career with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. She did a nice job of attacking the basket on the drive for buckets and when her defender backed off of her, she made three 17 footers. She was very active on the boards throughout the game.
Zaire Harrell 5’8” (‘22): A very athletic young point guard who plays with a lot of pace on the offensive end and loves to play aggressive defense. John Burroughs
Vanessa Polk 6’3” (‘22): A physical young post player who scored 14 points and grabbed about 15 rebounds while blocking and altering shots in the paint. When she left the game in the third quarter with foul trouble, the Rams made their move to rally. She is a force inside as she can post up and catch the ball well in traffic while finishing well. She keeps the ball up around the basket. She is currently averaging 13 points and 13 rebounds a game. Her upside is still substantial.
Peyton Starks 5’10” (’21) – A talented wing player who scored a game-high 20 points a game. She has good height and length and the ability to create shots off the dribble. She knocked down a couple of nice baseline jumpers off the dribble and made it look easy. She also did a nice job of getting to the free throw line, where she made all five of her free throws.
Sydney Starks 5’9″ (’23) – The younger sister of Peyton Starks, this talented young wing has a lot of potential to be a future standout on offense. She brings instant offense off the bench with her shooting from 3-point range. She has made a few shots from well beyond the 3-point line.
