Tuesday, Jan. 21
Eastern at Lenape, 6:00 PM
This is an Olympic Conference matchup between two red hot teams. Eastern won both of their games last week while Lenape picked up a huge win over Bishop Eustace. This will be a big game moving forward to see who can grab an advantage in the conference. Both sides want to keep their momentum going after a strong week.
Wednesday, Jan. 22
Our Lady of Mercy at Middle Township, 5:30 PM
Senior Kira Sides leads the top team in the Cape-Atlantic League against Our Lady of Mercy in this game. Our Lady of Mercy picked up their first loss of the season in their previous game against Wildwood Catholic. Middle Township already has big wins over Wildwood Catholic and Mainland this season. They will look for one more in this game.
Middlesex at South River, 5:30 PM
Juniors Kristen Yonker and Brianna Montajes lead a young Middlesex team in this game. They are unbeaten on the season and one of the top teams in the GMC. Ashley Fischer and Tiffany Fischer will try to hand Middlesex their first loss. The two studs have been the top scorers all season for South River. Middlesex will try and ride their momentum from a big win over Monroe in their previous game.
Thursday, Jan. 23
Cherokee at Bishop Eustace, 7:00 PM
Cherokee is currently ranked fourth in the state and they are the best team in the southern part of New Jersey. Alexa Therien and Kennedy Wilburn have been impossible to stop this season so Bishop Eustace will have their hands full in this one. They are coming off a huge win over Paul VI and will look to pick up another statement win.
Immaculate Heart at Ramapo, 7:00 PM
Anna Morris will lead No. 8 Immaculate Heart into action this week against another one of Bergen County’s best teams. Immaculate Heart is the current favorite to win the Bergen County title and compete for a state championship. They will first have to get past undefeated Ramapo.
Friday, Jan. 24
Ewing at Notre Dame, 7:00 PM
Erika Porter has been incredible for Notre Dame this season. She is scoring 15 points per game and has been effective on the board as well. The top team in the Colonial Valley Conference will square off with their biggest rival in Ewing on Friday. Notre Dame will enter on a four-game win streak while Ewing just had their streak snapped against Allentown.
Sparta at Pope John, 7:00 PM
This is a rematch of a season opening game where Pope John picked up a victory over Sparta. They have now won 10 in a row since that loss and will look for revenge. Sparta is led by three freshman. Ally Sweeney, Bailey Chapman, and Brynn McCurry have all turned into huge difference makers this season. They will have to deal with Alana Robinson for Pope John who has been a walking double-double.
Saturday, Jan. 25
Rumson-Fair Haven vs. Marlboro, 11:30 AM
This game will be apart of Middletown North’s Slam Dunk Autism Challenge. Rumson comes in as a top 15 team and will face a tough Marlboro squad. Rumson is young and could have some trouble with the pressure put on by Marlboro. They are a team that plays a fast game and tries to force their opponents into mistakes. This is a great chance for them to pick up a huge win.
Sunday, Jan. 26
Trenton Catholic vs. Manchester Township, 3:05 PM
This might be the game of the week. It will take place in Holmdel as apart of the Coaches Choice Showcase. This will be the toughest in-state game for both sides. Destiny Adams is Manchester’s top player and one of the 30 best players in the nation in the Class of 2021. She will go up against Aalyah Del Rosario and the rest of Trenton Catholic. This game will feature many Division I players and is the must watch game of the week.
Red Bank Catholic vs. Rutgers Prep, 4:35 PM
The second top 10 matchup will feature the No. 2 team in the state in Red Bank Catholic. Ally Carmen and Justin Pissott have been dynamic all season long for the Caseys. They will have their hands full with Christina Dalce and the rest of Rutgers Prep. This is a chance for both sides to pick up a signature win and one that will look real good come playoff time.
