The 6’3″ Williams was one of 24 players who will be playing in the McDonald’s Girls All-American Game on April 1 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. Williams also becomes the first player ever from the Southwest Missouri region, boy or girl, to become a McDonald’s All-American.
A do-it-all performer who can play all five positions on the court, Williams averaged 29 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while shooting 52 percent from the field as a junior. She is putting up similar numbers as a senior. During the summer, Williams displayed her elite talents while playing with the Missouri Phenom.
Williams is the No. 1 rated player in the Prep Girls Hoops Missouri Class of 2020 rankings and the No. 11-ranked player nationally in the 2020 class, according to ESPN Hoopgurlz.
Williams is also the fifth girl from the state of Missouri to be named an McDonald’s All-American, joining Tyra White (Hickman Mills, 2007), Napheesa Collier (Incarnate Word, 2015), Sophie Cunningham (Rock Bridge, 2016) and Alecia Sutton (Parkway North, 2016)
