Anna Shrum, 5’6, G, 2023, Belton
A standout softball player from Belton, Shrum is a nice athlete who shows promise as a scoring option and ball handling guard. Still just a freshman, Shrum is providing solid numbers and is earning her stripes for the team. She’s averaging six points and close to three rebounds per game.
Maci Smith, G/F, 2023, Fort Osage
Smith is a young freshman wing type player for Fort Osage who has good size and length. She’s a thin player, but she puts in a lot of effort into the game and is improving the more she sees time. She looks to force turnovers and contest shots and is improving her shot and scoring ability around the glass.
Victoria Swingle, 5’5, G, 2023, St. Michael the Archangel
A confident young player who looks to stay involved on both ends of the floor. Swingle is a scorer who has a shooter’s mentality. She is comfortable with taking big shots and looks to connect from wherever she has an open look, both from a distance and inside and around the basket. Also an aggressive defender who can play physical and force turnovers. A freshman to keep your eyes on. She’s averaging 10 points, 2.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game after 12 games.
Jada Williams, 5’7, G, 2023, Blue Springs
An athletic guard for Blue Springs who brings great speed, strength and versatility to the floor. She is a strong ball handler who looks to break down defenses and score from a distance. She can shake off opponents and is great at using her frame and athleticism to her advantage both in the paint and around the glass. Williams does a bit of everything at a high level. She’s creative as a scorer, a facilitator, with her dribble and can knock down shots from several feet beyond the arc.
