College coaches from East Carolina, Dayton, Georgetown, Iona, Wofford, Elon and Old Dominion were in the gym for a rematch between the two teams at Southeast Raleigh High School and they didn’t disappoint.
2020 Anya Poole, SE Raleigh, Forward
UNC bound forward Anya Poole really set the tone for the Lady Bulldogs throughout the whole game. She scored the first six points and finished with 17 points in a 58-34 victory. Poole took command of the game, especially in the second half as their lead kept on growing by the quarter. She’s got a nice motor and finishes strong around the rim.
2020 Jamia Hazell, SE Raleigh, Guard
JMU commit Jamia Hazell did well to keep the team composed after trailing 10-6 in the first quarter. She finished the game with seven points, although it wasn’t her best shooting game of the year. She was still able to show off her ability to run the break and make the plays when the ball touched her hands.
2020 Destini Abramson-Lee, SE Raleigh, Guard
Destini Abramson-Lee is an unsigned senior prospect that shows poise at either guard position on the floor. She’s got confidence getting to the rim and a nice stroke on her jump shot, though it’s still developing. When she’s at the point guard, she does well getting her teammates involved and getting them open shots. Underrated defender as well.
2021 Keanna Rembert, Millbrook, Forward
Keanna Rembert is slowly emerging as a force for the Lady Wildcats on both ends. She protected the paint well and showed off her ability to create off the dribble and in the post. She’s a prospect that had a few of the college coaches in the stands checking her out and for good reason. Rembert is a solid two-way prospect and finished with nine points.
2021 Mikayla Harris, SE Raleigh, Forward
Mikayla Harris is a prospect with breakout potential to watch for the Lady Bulldogs. She’s a reserve that’s aggressive on both ends, especially the offensive glass. Harris put up eight points in the Southeast Raleigh victory. She had a number of putbacks and runs to the rim within the rhythm of the offense to make an impact on the floor.
2021 Reiven Douglas, Millbrook, Guard
Reiven Douglas is the lead guard for the Lady Wildcats backcourt. She’s developing as a three-level shooter and certainly has the confidence as a shooter on the perimeter to emerge as a leader in that regard. When she isn’t looking to score, she’s getting her shooters open shots on the perimeter or looking to dish it to younger sister, Reychel, who also has quite the skill set.
2022 Bobbi Smith, SE Raleigh, Guard/Wing
Sophomore guard Bobbi Smith is a prospect that continues to show off her length, quickness and awareness on the defensive end. She finished the game with seven points and a number of steals and rebounds on the defensive end. She really set the tone with her ability to get out on the break and get to the rim as well.
2023 Reychel Douglas, Millbrook, Guard/Wing
Reychel Douglas has quite the skill set already and stands at 6-foot-1 already. She’s figuring things out as a slasher and as a threat on the perimeter. She knocked down two 3-pointers down the stretch for Millbrook and put up13 points. She’s got the potential to be very good at the end of her high school career already.
