Wyvette Mayberry 2020 Booker T. Washington combo guard
After receiving a nomination for the McDonald’s All-America Game on Tuesday, Wyvette Mayberry showed up to perform against the Sandites. She led all scorers, getting to the rim seemingly effortlessly and beating defenders off of the dribble with her elite speed. Zipping and cutting through the Sandites’ defense, Mayberry’s elusiveness rivaled Barry Sanders, but the offensive side of the ball was not her only stage. Defensively, she picked opposing passes out of the air like a cornerback on several occasions, taking the ball and outlasting the players whose passes she just intercepted en route to a number of transition points.
Carrigan Hill 2022 Booker T. Washington point guard
Carrigan Hill showcased some of the best passing talents in the area Tuesday night. Hill’s floor leadership capabilities make her like a general commanding a company as she finds and connects with players down-the-floor before most in the gym may even recognize those plays available. She’s highly aware and makes the game appear easy.
Journey Armstead 2022 Sand Springs point guard
Journey Armstead showcased an elite, all-around offensive skillset in the Sandites’ loss Tuesday night. Armstead finishes exceptionally well at the rim and has an elite mid-range game. Armstead can penetrate the lane almost with ease and loft up shots on the run with either hand to score points for her team.
