The class is extremely deep with a lot of talent for college coaches to be aware of. We will look at 10 examples of players, and the types of athletes, that you will see on the list.
Tadessa Brown (C, Brooklyn Columbia Central)
Brown is full of potential. At 6’4′, she can be a force in the paint. As her post moves and help side defense improves, her stock will soar.
Alaina Diaz (G, Hudsonville)
Diaz is a speedy guard that makes for a tough matchup. She runs the floor fast and seemingly never gets tired. She’s has top 20 in the state talent.
Kayla Giroux (F, Flat Rock)
Giroux is a versatile forward. She shows up for every game, consistently scoring and attacking the glass.
Mya Hicks (G, Ann Arbor Pioneer)
You have to watch Hicks play to appreciate her all around game. She knows the importance of a good pass and a defensive stop.
Alecsis Smith (F/C, bay City Central)
Smith should be a high major recruit. There might not be a better rebounder in the state. Smith has college ready strength already.
Taylor Thompson (SF, Grand Blanc)
Thompson is an elite athlete that’s just at the tip of the iceberg as far as her potential. She’s a team first player that’s willing to make the hustle plays.
Allie Walther (SG, Schoolcraft)
Walther has followed a strong summer season with Strictly Skills, with an excellent sophomore season. In my opinion, she’ll continue to grow as a player and prospect and will be a nice addition to a college program someday.
Ruby Whitehorn (SG, Detroit Edison)
Whitehorn is a top notch recruit on a national scale. Her combination of size, ball skills, and basketball IQ makes for a truly special prospect.
Nevaeh Williams (G, Mt. Clemens)
Williams is a like a firefly, she shines, you lose her and she shines again. And man is she tough to catch. Williams is outstanding with the ball in her hands in the open floor.
