The entire season felt like it was leading up to this. These final 4 teams facing off the advance to the Finals. I am very excited about these matchups! I love this matchup between Valley Vista and Perry. Both teams are very deep with talent and have superstar players on their roster. Valley Vista did beat Perry earlier this season by 11 in the NIKE TOC. However, with that game being so long ago and it was a tournament, I don’t really think that effects this game too much. Both teams are different teams than what they were back then. I think there’s no way Valley Vista losses this game at home, with the entire support of their community behind them. They’ve faced many challenges this year such as defeating Millennium and Hamilton on the road. I think Valley Vista takes care of business at home and advances to the State Finals.
Prediction: Valley Vista wins by 7
Key Players: Marisa Davis-Jones, Madison Conner, and Jennah Isai
2 Pinnacle vs 3 Hamilton
This is a very intriguing matchup as well. Hamilton has been on fire all season long and I thought they should have gotten the 2 seed. They made a really big statement two games in a row, winning both pretty convincingly. However, Pinnacle does have Kennedy Basham and that is cause for concern. While Hamilton may not have the height to match the 6’6 forward, I do believe they have two forwards that can play physical and potentially give her some issues. King and Farrington both play very physically and are both very strong. Hamilton is the deeper team in my opinion, I think their depth plus their coaches game plan will lead them back to the State Finals.
Prediction: Hamilton wins by 11
Key Players: Ally Stedman, Kennedy Basham, Amyah Reaves, and Zakiirah King.
