Let’s take a look at some of the 1,000-point scorers who are currently playing high school ball in Colorado.

Shamahra Henderson
Shamahra Henderson, 2020, 5-8, SF, Thornton
Among the most purely athletic players on this list, Henderson passed 1,000 career points during a 42-31 win over Thomas Jefferson on Dec. 14. As of the end of January, the senior wing has 1,208 points in her prep career. So far through the first 16 games of her senior season, Henderson is averaging 20.5 points per game, which is seventh best in the state, as well as 11.9 rebounds, 4.3 steals, 3.9 assists and 3.2 blocks per game. As of November, Henderson was weighing her options between several JUCO schools.
Kaitlyn Day, 2020, 5-6, G, Dawson
Day is currently 10th in Class 2A in scoring, averaging 14.8 points per game. The 5-foot-6 senior guard is pacing the Mustangs to a 10-3 record and a 5-1 conference mark, and is also averaging 3.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals. Day is a four-year varsity starter who has 1,114 points in her prep career, and has career averages of 15.1 points, 3.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game, shooting 28 percent (138 for 496) from 3-point range over 74 high school games.
Seneca Hackley
Seneca Hackley, 2020, 5-9, G, St. Mary’s

A key member of the dominant two-time defending champion St. Mary’s Pirates, Hackley passed the 1,000-point plateau on Jan. 31 and hardly to anyone’s surprise. In 93 career varsity games, the Pirates senior has averaged 10.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 3.0 steals. As a senior, she has put up 16.7 points, 3.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 0.8 blocks over 14 games.
Halle Mackiewicz, 2020, 5-10, F, Legacy

A dynamic athlete and multi-sport standout, Mackiewicz hit the 1,000-point mark during a 32-point scoring effort against Fairview on Jan. 31. But don’t get too excited, college coaches, the senior is set to play soccer at Clemson University next year. Though basketball isn’t her first sport, Mackiewicz has been the heart and soul of the Legacy girls hoops program for several years and is averaging 18.1 points, and 9.3 rebounds as a senior.

Tosjanae Bonds
Tosjanae Bonds, 2020, 5-5, G, Far Northeast
Still pacing the scoring average race in Colorado, Bonds is averaging an impressive 23.5 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field. A dynamic and explosive guard with a motor that never stops or even slows down, really, Bonds has been good for 23.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.5 steals per game through 14 games this winter. The FNE senior has been a scorer since Day 1, averaging 18.3 points over the 76 games she has played in high school to date. Her season-best scoring output so far as a senior is 34 points in a win over Northfield.
