Kara Daly 6’1″ Jefferson City: The 2021 post player scored a team-high 29 points in the Jays’ loss to Republic at the buzzer. She displayed her ability to dominate games in the paint with her fundamentals in the post. She establishes position well and catches the ball and finishes with both ends. She is also very good at the high post where she can get buckets off the bounce. Her strength and footwork make her difficult to defend around the basket.
Kaemyn Bekemeier, Republic: The talented 2023 scored scored 29 points and was a big part of a stunning array of 3-point shooting which help the Tigers post a 60-57 victory over the No. 3 ranked Jays. Bekemeier was on fire from both the 3-point line and the free-throw line as she knocked down four 3-pointers while being a perfect seven-of-seven from the charity stripe. She scored 12 points in the first quarter to keep her team competitive.
Lexi Rubel 6’0″ Cape Notre Dame: The 6’0″ 2022 guard scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 44-34 victory over Blair Oaks. She is a versatile performer who causes all kinds of problems with her height and skill set on the perimeter. She can get buckets on the drive whether she’s going left or right and she can score with both hands with equal effectiveness. She can also knock down an open 3-pointer.
Lainy Lamb 5’5″ Helias: The 2020 guard scored a team-high 15 points in the Crusaders’ victory over St. Michael’s. She is a solid point guard who can run the show and make open 3-pointers off the catch. She does a nice job of pushing the ball and she excels in the transition game.
Lindsey Byers 5’9″ Helias: The lefty 2021 guard had 13 points and nine rebounds in the Crusaders’ victory over St. Michael’s. She is an excellent two-way guard who can impact the game at both ends of the floor. She has a smooth shooting stroke from 3-point range and she has the length and anticipation to create steals and turnovers.
