Hortonville
Leading the state and the Fox Valley Association is Hortonville. The team went undefeated in conference play this season at 17-0. The team is stocked with skilled players each contribute so much to their team. Hortonville is definitely one of the better outside shooting teams I’ve seen this season.
Macy McGlone | Senior
The 6’2 forward has been the clear leader for her team this season. She stepped up and helped her team through some huge victories. She leads her team in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game. A rebounding specialist as well, McGlone averaged nearly 9 rebounds. She has a rare combination of size and quickness that has led to so much success. In a win over Fond Du Lac, McGlone dropped a season-high 25 points on 10-13 from the floor. She also had 11 boards. McGlone is committed to UW Milwaukee.
Lexi Day | Junior
The 5’8 guard has really become such a confident facilitator for her team. She runs the offense so well for her team and does a great job of finding her teammates open. She is also a key player to Hortonville’s defensive pressure. She works really nicely alongside McGlone. Day has developed an effective perimeter shot this season as well. Known for her defense, Day can easily be known for her pull up jumper. She averages 11 points per game.
Morgan Draheim | Senior
The quick 5’6 guard has been putting up impressive numbers this season for Hortonville. She has a quick first step that gets her to the rim with ease. Draheim has a great arch to her shot and has been very successful with her three point shooting. She has also become a play-maker for her team and does a great job passing into the post. She averages 3.5 assists per game. In a win over Appleton West, Draheim scored her season-high 22 points.
Beaver Dam
The number one team in the Badger- North conference this season. Ranked second in the state. The team plays a run and gun offense that has led to a lot of success. They are exceptionally fast on both ends of the floor. The team stays composed and full of energy the entire game. The team averages 65.4 points per game as a team. Beaver Dam is currently 19-3 overall but is undefeated in conference play.
Matyson Wilke | Junior
The 5’10 guard has had a huge junior campaign. Ranked number one in the junior class, Wilke is such an impressive player. She is leading her team in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game. In Wilke’s last four games leading into playoff action, she has averaged 23 points. She has a clear scorers mentality on offense but in turn has so much mental tenacity defensively. Wilke averages 7.9 rebounds per game. Wilke has offers from over ten division one schools.
Jada Donaldson | Senior
The 5’6 guard has become an offensive specialist this season. She takes a lot of pressure off of Wilke and finds her shots so well. She has an impressive drive to the basket and finishes with a lot of poise. The UW Milwaukee commit is averaging 9 points and 5.4 assists per game. Donaldson is a key player to her team’s success. In a win over Oregon, Donaldson dropped 17 points. In another victory over Sauk Prairie she dished out 10 assists.
Pius XI Catholic
Pius XI is leading the Woodland- West conference. The squad is ranked third in the state as of late. The team averages 62 points per game. Pius XI is a team full of fight that see so many points off their skilled rebounders. With a deep bench, there are multiple players who are very skilled.
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz | Senior
The 6’1 Green Bay commit is averaging 12.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. She is a powerhouse post player with the ability to shut down a game with her defense. This season, I’ve watched Kondrakiewicz increase her shot blocking ability. She grabbed 19 boards in a win over East Troy. She also had 22 points in a win over Wisconsin Lutheran. Kondrakiewicz had 9 offensive rebounds in a win over West Allis Central .
Jada Spence | Senior
The 6’0 forward is leading her squad in scoring this season. She is averaging 14.4 points per game during her senior campaign. She is a strong post player who has guard-like abilities. She is effective off the dribble drive but is an exceptional three- point shooter. She has a scorer mentality and finds her shot with ease. In a win over Pewaukee, Spence scored her season- high 26 points. Spence is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game. The senior is committed to Tennessee State University.
New Berlin Eisenhower
The sleeper of the group is New Berlin Eisenhower. Currently ranked 8th in the state- they have been playing so well as a team, it’s only right they are in conversation for a gold ball. Ranked second in their conference behind Pius XI Cathloic, New Berlin is 10-2 in conference play. The team averaged nearly 60 points per game and is 16-6 overall.
Erin Hedman | Senior
The 6’3 senior is one of the most versatile post players in the state. She plays with a lot of composure and knows her own strengths. She is averaging 12.4 points per game and 8.4 rebounds. She is quick on defense and runs the floor really well. A shot blocking specialist, Hedman has 34 this season. In a win over New Berlin West, Hedman dropped 24 points and 10 rebounds. Hedman is committed to Minnesota.
Brynn Fuerstenberg | Sophomore
Playing alongside Hedman is the 5’10 forward. She is averaging 10 points and 6 rebounds per game. She adds a lot of value to her team and has a lot of strength offensively. She can easily take over a game with her awareness on both ends of the floor. She had 20 points against a top Germantown team and 18 against Brown Deer. Fuerstenberg shoots 50% from the floor.
