Eastern Kansas League (EKL)
Bishop Miege, Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, Mill Valley, St. James, St. Thomas Aquinas.
Maddie Garretson, 5’11, F, 2020 Blue Valley Southwest
A seasoned forward who adds size, strength and flexibility to the low and high post. Garretson can attack the basket and put the ball on the floor. She also brings a solid energy to her game and a good bounce. An inside-out forward who can connect from range, the free throw line and can also play physical and score around the glass. A tough-minded forward who looks to stay physical and contest shots.
Ally Hoban, 6’0, F, 2020, Blue Valley North
Hoban is a good hustle player who looks to play hard and get the ball to her teammates who are looking to create. She plays well on defense and uses our frame to her advantage. She can get tough at times but also knows when to back off and switch out. Another player listed at 6’0 for North who stays big and looks to be active.
Jane Ryan, 6’2, C, 2020, Blue Valley
Another strong and well built center/forward prospect who plays hard on both ends of the floor. She can block shots, rebound, and use her frame to her advantage. She also looks to extend the floor with her outside shot. Ryan has a kinship on the court with fellow teammate Taylor Tschirhart as they can make defenders second guess coming inside. A high-post low-post combination that shows up on defense and offense.
Claire Thomas, 5’10, F, 2020, Aquinas
Another strong forward for Aquinas who adds size and physicality inside the perimeter. Thomas is a good defensive player who can contest shots and secure rebounds and also gets buckets as she can connect around the glass and from the free throw line. Her length isn’t overlooked as she’s put in places to succeed on both ends of the floor.
Taylor Tschirhart, 6’0, C, 2020, Blue Valley
Another tough center who brings size, length and overall physicality to the floor for Blue Valley. She’s listed at 6’0 and very little gets past her. If she doesn’t have her footwork right, she’s capable of catching her opponents and blocking shots from behind. She works extremely well with fellow teammate and center Jane Ryan as they both bring size, length and inside-outside play.
