Eastern Kansas League (EKL)
Bishop Miege, Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Blue Valley West, Mill Valley, St. James, St. Thomas Aquinas.
Cate Boling, G/F, 2021, Bishop Miege
An off ball player who can see time due to her outside shooting and activity as a defender. Boling brings a lot of hustle to the floor and can come away with the ball and looks to make smart passes in transition. A smart defender who anticipates passes and looks to kick-off fastbreak opportunities as she can handle the ball and has the size and frame to sell contact and get to the free-throw line. She gets up the floor quickly and plays an unselfish brand of ball.
Sameera Elmsari, 5’10, G/F, 2021, Aquinas
Another junior performer for Aquinas who looks to compete on both ends of the floor. She has strong hands and can mix things up with and without the ball. She puts herself in positions to score and rebound and can even stretch the floor at times. Elmsari finds ways to contribute and can add points regardless of the match-up.
Jazzy Klinge, G/F, 2021, Blue Valley
A nice guard who has good speed and the ability to steal the ball from behind. She adds athleticism and grit to the floor and has a good bounce and a fit frame. Klinge creates well for herself and is good at playing the wing position as she has the toughness and strength to play inside at times but also the quickness speed and creativity to operate as a slasher and scorer. She can shoot from 3-point range and also connects in the mid-range area and around the glass.
McKenna Simons, 5’10, G/F, 2021, Blue Valley North
Simons has in game quickness and a nice 3-point shot. She has a solid game overall and the athleticism, length, and bounce which makes her a tough player to match up against given her ability to play both inside and out. She’s a strong and well built player who runs the floor, forces turnovers and can handle the ball on the open floor. A lot of potential in Simons’ game.
Elle Zars, 5’10, SF, 2021, Mill Valley
Another physical player with good size and length for Mill Valley who runs hard and can stretch the floor with her outside shot. Zars handles the ball well for a wing-type player who also sees time inside the paint given her strength, physicality and intelligence. She has strong hands and is good at tipping passes and collecting rebounds and forcing turnovers as well.
