#8 Notre Dame traveled to #1 Sacred Heart Sunday evening. Both defensive minded teams in this matchup as both teams struggled to score the ball at times. #1 Sacred Heart ends up pulling out a 10-point victory over #8 Notre Dame, 57-47. Notre Dame drops to 18-6. Sacred Heart wins their 16th straight and improves to 24-1.

Josie Gilvin (Sacred Heart)

A breakout performance for the sophomore forward in their victory over Notre Dame. She finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds. She crashed the glass with force on both the defensive and offensive ends. She has great length and is very versatile while on the floor. She has a pretty mid-range jumper as well. This Sacred Heart team is already great but having a player like Gilvin stepping up will only make them even scarier. Hopefully this will be a confidence boost for Gilvin and she'll continue to make strides. Josie wins my Player of the Game with her outstanding performance.
