Senior Atlantis White and junior Kaley Perkins are both at just under 17 ppg. Both can shoot the long ball and White has continued to show she can run the one with ease as she leads the team in both steals and assists. Sophomore Saija Cleveland is also averaging in double digits as well as leading the team in rebounding but what I saw from the early was their scrappiness and this explains why they’ve made it this far because of that and the role players that include freshman Aniyah Sanford who is right behind White as an assist leader
The Lobos get Pflugerville Henderson featuring a couple of players I’m all too familiar with, Zoe Nelson and Sarah Malinowski. Nelson is one of the top juniors in Texas while Malinowski can light up from outside at the drop of a dime, she does that too. Missed Harker Heights and Mansfield at the Spring Creek MISD Invitational but I definitely know who Erin Fry is, she’s listed among the Top 100 in Texas. I haven’t seen Vandergrift, nor Plano who lost Jordan Merritt early in the season but Sasche has seniors Tia Harvey and Adel Tac, both listed in the Top 100 as well as freshman Crislyn Rose. Vista Ridge, on the other hand, brings plenty of firepower with seniors Zion Neat and Victoria Baker as well as juniors AJ Marotte and Jazra Williams, you guessed it, all in the Top 100
