Nebraska is known for alot of things, like Runza, Valentino's and Nebraska football.  In girl's high school basketball, no program is more prominent on a national level and has done more for the development of the game than South Sioux City.  Since 1994, no program has been more prominent nor more imitated than the Cardinals, but this year has been a bit of down year, sitting at 9-8 going into Saturday's match-up against River Cities Conference rival Omaha Roncalli, who is having a nice year with a senior dominated team at 10-7.  SSC's post game and perimeter shooting was too much for the Crimson Pride speed and quickness Saturday afternoon, netting a 75-52 victory.

Samantha Mausbach (5'7" Senior, Guard, Omaha Roncalli): An outstanding pure athlete who has a strong upper body that can play through contact around the basket, Mausbach is one of the best athletes in the River Cities Conference.  She is a dogged defender who attacks the ball, but she is right hand dominant with her ball handling; however, if she gets going downhill with the right hand, she will get to the rim.  She has an adequate perimeter shot, but she needs to work on a quicker
