A 5’6 guard, Woolston is quick with the ball, handles it well and can shoot from the outside. She likes to push the tempo and is a good passer in transition who can also get her own shot.
The Lady Trojans are currently off to a 5-9 start to the season but have high hopes for the future. Woolston says she worked well with the upperclassmen a year ago averaging 8.8 points as a sophomore, but has taken her game to new heights this season.
Woolston put together a strong offseason running with Kansas United and says the experience helped her game grow as she geared up for her junior season at Andover.
“During my club basketball season, I feel like I grew even more as a player,” she said. “Playing up in mostly 17u got me more prepared for high pressure games. I’ve been working on my game through private lessons and also working on my own constantly.”
Woolston says her dad has had the biggest influence on her basketball career to date.
“I would have to say my dad has been the most influential to me through his countless times going outside or to the gym with me throughout the years,” she says.
A fan of WNBA star Diana Taurasi, Woolston says shecan appreciate her all-around game and style of play.
“She is a very smart and talented guard that has always been super competitive with her game,” Woolston said.
Woolston does not yet hold an offer but has heard from Bethel and received letters from several other colleges.
