Rather than being a product of players lowering their stock, most of the movement resulted from players playing their way up the list. If not for the addition of a dozen new players to the rankings, most of the players listed below likely would have moved up even higher.
If you missed Part 1, check it out here. Here are four more seniors who have raised their stock as much or more than anyone else over the course of their final regular seasons in high school.
Taylor Dabovich
Taylor Dabovich, 5-10, SF, Pueblo West
Athletic and light on her feet, Dabovich is a versatile and effective role player for Pueblo West who could be an every-game starter on many other teams in Colorado. She averages over three boards a game and has the ability to do damage with her mid-range jumper. Dabovich is also an excellent defender who, at 5-foot-9, is able to guard multiple positions on the floor against most teams.
With the latest rankings update, Dabovich moved up from No. 69 to No. 64.
Jerika Moore, 5-7, SG, Canon City
The Bethany College signee and talented combo guard passed 1,000 points in her prep career this season during a 51-40 win over Mesa Ridge on Jan. 25. Moore has averaged nearly 15 points a game in her career at Canon City and the multi-sport standout is pouring in 17.1 a night as a senior while also averaging six rebounds and 2.1 steals for the Tigers.
Moore moved up from No. 80 to No. 73.
Kendra Parra, 5-5, SG, Del Norte
The senior shooting guard has scored over 1,700 points already in her prep career at Del Norte and is in the midst of an unbelievable season with the Tigers. One of the few female multi-sport athletes in Colorado who can put “baseball” on her prep sports resume, Parra is averaging 21.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.6 steals per game while shooting 40 percent (25 for 62) from 3-point range this winter.
Parra moved up from No. 89 to No. 74.
Valerie Gallegos
Valerie Gallegos, 5-6, PG, Westminster
The Westy Wolves are having an emergent season and largely due to a balanced effort from a bunch of players coming into their own at the right time. Gallegos is among the many Wolves who have taken their games to the next level, and is averaging a double-double this season with 11.4 points and 11.5 rebounds a game, all while still putting up 2.8 assists and three steals. That’s a glue player right there.
Gallegos moved up from No. 86 to No. 77.
