With a 3.6 GPA, Bonds is one of the most electrifying players in her class and will do whatever it takes to lift her team to victory. She can fill up the stat sheet in every category and well known for stifling defense and an ability to force turnovers, Bonds can certainly turn her defense into offense. Bonds is one of the best defensive players in Colorado, averaging 9.3 steals per game.
Tosjanae BondsAlong with her ability to turn defense into offense, Bonds does a great job rebounding for a guard, and getting her teammates involved at the offensive end. On Feb. 8, she had one of the most impressive performances that Colorado has seen in a while. Ending up with a quadruple-double, Bonds put up 40 points – going 14-18 from the field and 11-12 from the free throw line – as well as 18 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals, and only turned the ball over once against a quality opponent in Denver East.
Bonds’ performances has been creating a buzz around multiple states.
Bonds has certainly made a name for herself, and has gone from under the radar to on the radar for many collegiate coaches. Over the course of her senior year, she has gone from only two schools being interested to seven or more and is still receiving phone calls daily.
Current Schools Interested: Metro State University, Pratt CC, Clarendon TX, Northwestern CC, Sheridan College Wyoming, Drury University and others.
When asked how the recruiting process was going for her, here is what the Warriors senior had to say:
“I have to learn how to manage my time with school work and talking to all the colleges,” Bonds said. “Digging deeper for background information not just what they tell me. A lot of schools want me its my job to give my time to who really wants it. It’s stressful but not everything is easy. Just have to do stress management.”
