The region 7-AAAAA girls championship game was an exhilarating contest between Kell and Carrollton. The game was highly emotional and came down to the final possesion, ending with Kell pulling it out 44-43. There were a few players that really made huge impacts on this game and stood out with their high-level play:


Crystal Henderson | 2023 | G | Kell

Henderson was controlled the tempo/pace of the game for Kell and ran the show at a high level. She was the catalyst for Kell all night long creating plays for herself and others, they leaned on her during adverse moments in the game and she delivered time and time again. She displayed advanced ball-handling skills breaking pressure and making the correct plays. Henderson buried multiple shots from long-range and was comfortable shooting off the bounce or the catch, and when she didn't have the outside shot she got into the lane for floaters that seemed to be automatic for her. High IQ player, mature and beyond her years.


Jamiah Gregory | 2023 | F | Kell

Gregory seemed to be the emotional leader for Kell as they fed off of her
