With the season entering the home stretch, Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at several players who have raised their profile in recent weeks.

Here, we take a look at several forward prospects.

Olivia Albers, 5’10, G/F, 2022, Cheney

A productive player for Cheney who has great size, length and a lot of potential to her game. albers can score in a variety of ways given her build and looks to connect off the glass and in transition. Still just a sophomore, Albers is averaging 6.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. She’s shooting 75 percent from the free throw line (15-20) and shows a lot of effort as a scorer both from 3-point range and in the paint. A player to keep your eyes on.

Rhen Calhoon, 6’0, F, 2021, Hayden

A strong forward with great height and an eye for plays in the paint. She’s listed at 6’0 and usually looks to body up opponents and force them to throw the ball away or make a poor decision inside. Calhoon is a good shot blocker and always seems to contest shots.

Kara Koester, 5’10, G/F, 2020,
