Elisabeth Crawford, 5’9, G/F, 2020, Shawnee Mission South
Crawford is a nice leader for South who can rebound, facilitate and score some close to the basket. She has an inside-outside game as she can also hit from 3-point range. She has a strong defensive pressure inside but has the speed to handle some perimeter play as well. She looks to steal the ball and has the speed to find separation in transition and score around the glass. A hard-working player.
Courtney Kearny, 5’10, F, 2020, Olathe East
A combo player who sees time both inside and out due to her speed and athleticism. She has a good high post game and is good at setting screens and then rolling to the basket. Kearny looks to box out and is physical and can make good decisions when she gets the ball. She can score at times but is an unselfish passer and works well with her teammate Molly Kaemmer inside.
Joy Nunoo, 5’9, F, 2020, Free State
A physical player who looks to play defense and make scrappy plays on both ends of the floor. Nunoo is aggressive on the block and has strong hands and long strides in transition. She’s listed at 5’9 and brings a good combination of athleticism and hustle to the floor. A player who looks to rebound, score when she’s open and contest shots.
Mia Vallery, 5’11, G/F, 2020, Gardner-Edgerton
A tough player who brings experience, strength and scrappy play to the floor. Vallery brings size and length to the floor, a 5’11 forward who uses her long arms to tip away passes and secure rebounds. Vallery can score when she’s in the zone and is also a good rebounder on both ends of the floor.
Sadie Watkins, 5’9, G, 2020, Gardner-Edgerton
Watkins is good at forcing turnovers and can handle the ball through a press. She has a strong frame and brings toughness and ball-handling skills to the floor. She can run the point or operate as a wing player. Watkins is versatile as a defender given her speed and toughness for perimeter play, but also looks to slip inside and protect the basket. Watkins works extremely well with fellow teammate Sofia Semon as they have a quick give and go game they use on offense.
