#3 Eaton v #9 Urbana, 6:00- Urbana comes into the game with six wins, and junior Samantha Rooney is a 5-11 kid who had some productive games this season. She is averaging over 10 points per game, and is solid around the rim. Another junior is Shelby Stoops who scored 7.4 per game, while sophomore Maleah Murphy is a perimeter threat. Eaton has one of the state’s top senior in Bailey Shepherd, a 5-11 wing who just scored her 1,000th point and is headed to Indiana Tech. Shepherd is a playmaker and gets help from guard Allison Mowen, a 5-6 sophomore who makes the well-oiled machine run. They also have some younger players who are developing such as freshmen Olivia Baumann and Lily Shepherd. The winner of this game will play Graham, who took a bye. Kaitlyn Nash is their go-to player and a talented senior.
#8 Shawnee v #5 Bellefontaine, 7:30- Shawnee is a team who has struggled to score all season, averaging 30 points per game as a team. Senior Andi Meeks is their go-to player at just under 10 ppg. Their top returning kid next year is junior Tori Malicki, a decent rebounder and scorer. Bellefontaine is in the same boat, only scoring at a pace of 35 ppg. Hannah Rider is a nice post player, as the 5-10 senior is solid around the rim, nearly at a double-double scoring/rebounding pace. The winner gets #2 Trotwood Madison, who brings in two very talented players. Junior Quantaijah Huffman Quantaijah Huffman 5'8" | PG Trotwood Madison | 2021 State OH is an athletic playmaking guard who runs in transition and can score inside/out. Freshman Raeven Raye-Redmond Raeven Raye-Redmond 5'8" | CG Trotwood Madison | 2023 State OH has developed into a next-level guard with a lot of skill. Both are well into double figures in scoring, while Redmond leads the GWOC in steals, and it isn’t close. Goddess McIntrye is a post player who has developed her game well.

#1 Tippecanoe v #11 Northwestern, 11:00- Tippecanoe is back for another shot at the districts, a familiar spot for them at the end of February. Senior Kendall Clodfelter Kendall Clodfelter 5'8" | CG Tippecanoe High School | 2020 OH leads the way, as the 5-10 guard can score from beyond the arc or in transition, and leads the MVL in assists. Senior Katie Salyer also will contribute with a solid game from 10-feet in. Junior Ashleigh Mader Ashleigh Mader 6'0" | CG Tippecanoe | 2021 State OH is steady, as the 5-8 guard can also fire from long range, and is a steady floor leader. Other juniors to watch are Rachel Wildermuth and Katie Hemmelgarn, both capable of big nights. Also defensive specialist Kenna Smith can lock down the opposing teams top guard. Northwesterns offense is limited and nobody is averaging over 4.4 points per game. Freshman Alainee Risner, a 5-7 forward is likely their best player. The winner of this game will play 0-16 Belmont in the second round.
#4 Greenville v #7 Ben Logan, 12:30- Ben Logan is no stranger to winning, having won numerous CBC titles the last 10 years. This year they are led by Olivet-signee Savannah Pavoni, a 5-8 senior guard who can score from the perimeter and run the break. Sophomore guard Lynzee Cronkleton impressed me at times last year as a freshman, and is scoring double figures also. They won 3 of the last 5 games and look for momentum into the tournament. Greenville is scoring the same amount of points per game as BL, and is led by Edison State signee Haleigh Behnken, a 5-7 senior averaging 19ppg, second in the MVL. She can score from the perimeter, or get to the rim and finish. Morgan Gilbert is the other key player to watch for Greenville, averaging 8.5 points and hit the game winner recently against Xenia. The winner of this game gets #6 Kenton Ridge in the second round. This team is unpredictable but has some solid kids who can produce like junior Megan Freeman, senior Elli Schleinitz and Joshlynn Johnson.
