I guess my time gas is of no concern to others, that’s cool, so do I go to Pasadena where back in the day I couldn’t be caught there at night, allegedly, to see North Shore vs Clear Springs? Or do I head to Merrell Center to see who I feel is the team to beat, Cypress Creek battle Dulles? Decisions, decisions, decisions but I want to see a competitive game, I hate blowouts even though it gives me an opportunity to play Wordscapes
North Shore has been on a semi roll, despite losing Top 100 Ja’Nyla Kennedy a few weeks ago to a knee injury, moving up freshman sensation Shalayne Gould has added a new dimension to their talented squad so I’m leaning towards their game against Clear Springs whose sophomore duo of Kenna Gibson and Kylie Minter, two rising 2022 guards that can light it up from deep
Cypress Creek has one of the nations best backcourts in Rori Harmon and Kyndall Hunter, two players I called #D1Locks in elementary school before anyone even knew who they were and yes, I am that good and yes, I will keep letting you know because they have set the bar on where you need to be yet sometimes people make statements like they just left a bar trying to make comparisons, cut it out
Dulles, on the other hand, is on the verge of something huge with the talented sophomores that are on the squad. Maurdaisha Powell, a shade under the magic number of 6’0 can play multiple positions. Nya Threatt, back from an injury yet you’d never know as the smooth as silk guard creates some problems on offense. How about Peyton Overton, the explosive guard that just became eligible a few weeks ago and she’s one of the most explosive players in her class, all three are among the 2022 Top 100
