2021 6-2 C Sacha Washington – Collins Hill – Purdue
The double-double machine was named Region 6 Player of the Year after moving in from Parkview. Washington is a physical specimen that is stronger and more athletic than most posts. Her ability to score around the rim makes her the toughest post presence left in Class 7A.
2020 6-0 F Zoesha Smith – Glynn Academy – Georgia
A non-stop athletic forward, Zoesha Smith put up a career-high 40 points and 15 rebounds as the Terrors powered past Sequoyah in the Sweet 16. Smith is an active rebounder that uses a quick leap to stay on the glass. She is averaging 21.1 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.1 blocks.
2021 6-3 C Sania Feagin – Forest Park
Sania Feagin has anchored Forest Park since Day 1 on campus. The junior is posting 17.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.9 steals and 2.5 blocks. She’s an elite athlete that is slowly expanding her game out to the three-point line. She has the ability to play multiple positions.
2021 5-7 PG De’Mauri Flournoy – Carrollton
One of Georgia’s most polished guards, Flournoy plays bigger than her size and is a tough competitor. She can score all over the floor and is Carrollton’s unquestioned leader. She is a willing defender and a big shot maker.
2022 6-0 G Sydney Bowles – Woodward Academy
Averaging 25.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 5 steals per game, Bowles is on her way to a historic career. She is a jump shooting big guard with good ball skills. She starts her own fast breaks and has nice foot work when getting to the basket. She will face her biggest test in the Elite Eight at defending champs Carver-Columbus.
2020 6-3 C Olivia Cochran – Carver-Columbus – Louisville
Big, physical and with a drop of finesse, Olivia Cochran is close to unstoppable in the paint in Class 4A. Cochran uses her frame well and has strong drop steps that clear out defenders. She’s rim protector and terrific rebounder.
2021 6-3 C Makayla Timpson – Early County
Makayla Timpson might have the highest upside of all the posts in Georgia with her tremendous length and motor. Timpson averages 23 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 5.1 blocks. She’s a fluid athlete that gets up and down the court like a gazelle. Timpson is an efficient scorer inside with a soft touch and is continuing to get better as she sees stronger competition.
