Had they chose to attend different schools, they would have been difference-makers wherever they went, however, their ability to coexist has made them one of the best backcourts ever to come out of the area and one of the best in the country right now and they are the primary reason why the team is 40-0 and headed to the state championship. I said primary, but not the only because without the much improved inside play of Morgan Hill (Louisiana Monroe) and Taylor Jackson, this would not be happening as well as solid play all year from Ally Haman to round out out the starting lineups but this ride isn’t over yet, Hill, Haman, and Marcayla Wortham are the lone seniors but coming up are
Ri’Yah Francis-6’2- the junior’s surge this season has left me somewhat speechless. I knew she was going to be good and a next-level prospect however that level has risen because her game has done the same thing. She’s powerful and with a college-ready body now, she is hard to handle in the paint yet her shot is fluid when facing the basket
Jasmyn Jackson-6’3-one more time, long and athletic is the base and her upside is scary because she’s on the verge of exploding and I can’t wait to catch the sophomore during club basketball season. She runs the floor after igniting the break with rebounds, she finishes but her timing simply blew me away because she can block, deflect and (or) alter shots as well as regroup on defense quickly
Trinity Santaserio-5’7-another talented sophomore that will come into her own on this squad next season for a number of reasons. She plays within herself and can not only shoot the long ball consistently but her ability to catch and shoot is what caught my eye while she was in middle school
NeAsia Favorite-5’8-sophomores galore on this talented squad and the trifecta wouldn’t be complete without favorite who plays both ends of the court the same way, with passion. She provides a spark that trickles down to her teammates and I’ve personally seen her make some big shots in her career
Krishawn Lee-5’9-her upside is scary and the bits and pieces she’s shown me in-game situations tells me that she is definitely on her way and as a freshman and having a chance to observe “what’s” playing in front of her has been a valuable lesson you can’t teach. As the old men used to tell me “she has D1 written all over her” and let me add that it’s not written in invisible ink, top that one
