Guard, Madison. Concorde district and Northern region first team.
Amalia is a talented guard who can handle the ball and score from just about anywhere on the floor. More than that she has mental toughness that makes an impact on the game even when her shots aren’t falling. Will definitely be leading the way for the Warhawks next season.
Mary Trivosonno
Guard, Marshall.
Marshall was the hottest team at the end of the year until Edison halted their run, a lot in part due to the play of their talented guards. Mary was a big part of their success in the postseason, including one game-winning three in the National district championship game. Along with her sister Christina, Mary will no doubt build on her already solid game in the offseason and aim to lead Marshall further next winter.
Veronica Bubank
Forward, Robinson. Patriot district first team.
The Rams had an up-and-down season, and after a slow start to the year Bubank scored in double figures way more than not the second half of the year. She was also their centerpiece on defense, and knows how to use her length to block shots and put herself in positions to get steals in transition.
Summer Thomas
Guard, Langley
Perfecting her role as a sixth man, Thomas was repeatedly a contributor in games this season whether in points, hustle, or playmaking. Always making her presence on the floor know, her play next year will be crucial in the Saxon’s continued improvement.
Ashley Allen
Guard, Potomac Falls. Washington Post All-Metropolitan Honorable Mention
Allen is a versatile, athletic guard who can also hold her own in the post. She has good basketball instincts and her ability to go coast to coast makes her one of the best players on the floor at all times. With improvements in the offseason, she is primed to take the Panthers to new heights next winter.
