This group of talented ballers have come into their Sophomore years and made a name for themselves on a local and statewide level. Look for their names to enter the statewide rankings over the next year, but for all of the college coaches these are names you really need to get familiar with now before it’s too late.
Deasia Feaster – 6’1” – Forward – Fairfield Central High School – Explosive athlete that can dominate the game from the free throw line down with outstanding leaping and slashing ability, Great mid range jump shot that she can elevate over defenders to get off. Led Fairfield Central to a 13 – 8 Record and a spot in the SCHSL playoffs, averaged 10.0 Points – 5.1 Rebounds – 1.8 Steals while coming back from knee surgery this past summer.
Monique Cepeda – 5’10” – Guard – Comenius School – Outstanding perimeter scorer with the ability to shoot the ball with consistency from long distance, great frame and long arms allows her to get her shot off over taller players. Breakout season in 2019-2020 with a 13.6 Points per game average along with 7.5 Rebounds – 3.9 Steals – 2.5 Assists, while taking more ball handling responsibilities in the backcourt.
Chasity Sessions – 6’2” – Post – A.C Flora High School – Advanced back to the basket post player that can control the paint on both ends of the floor, strong frame and ability to score from the block or with her developing mid range game. Strong season with a 8.4 Points – 9.5 Rebound – 4.8 Blocks average and it will increase after another year of strength & development skill work.
Terranique Polite – 5’9” – Guard – Summerville High School – Extremely athletic wing player that is a lockdown defender, can shoot the ball and loves to get out in transition & attack the rim. Starting to be more comfortable as the primary ball handler and scorer on the court, has the ability to be one of the top Guards in this recruiting class if she can put it all together. Led Summerville to a 21 – 7 Record including 8 – 0 in Region – Averaged 6.9 Points – 5.2 Rebounds – 2.4 Steals and it should go way up next year.
