In girl basketball, each of the players listed from this season shot the three ball 30% or higher. The highest three point shooting percentage was by Amore’ Kirkland led the county in three-point efficiency, making 67.1 percent of her outside shots.
Each player shoots the ball as if they could completely alter the outcome of a game by stringing together a few outside shots. These few players will be crucial to their team’s success in the coming seasons ahead.
Who are the top shooters in Cumberland County NC? So lets find out who they are the players that displayed there shooting ability to knock down the three ball.

Amore’ Kirkland – While Kirkland gets most of the attention at Seventy First high, the best shooter on the team — by the numbers — is Amore’ Kirkland was 1st in her county in threes made (55) and 1st in three point shooting percentage (67.1) Those marks led the Sandhills conference and District 4. A native of Fayetteville who started playing at Varsity basketball at Freedom Christian Academy at 7th grade had one of her best games this season season in a win over Hoke county, where she knocked down six of 8 attempts from outside and finished with 24 points. Earlier in the season, she hit 5-of-9 against Purnell Swett.
Siera Glover – Its was only one player that sank more three-pointers than Glover this season. From beyond the arc, she made 47 of 103 shots, good enough for 46. percent. Those marks were school at Douglas Byrd High best and league 1st best in the Patroit league and 2nd in Cumberland county. Glover, a 5-foot-6 guard from Fayetteville NC, was an honorable mention this season after averaging 10.3 points per-game.
Morgan Brady – the shooting skills of Brady always gave her team a chance to win. Her 41 three-pointers was 2nd in the Patroit Conference. Brady made the Patroit All-Conference team. Brady’s 31 percent clip from outside was third in the county, just behind Douglas Byrd Seria Glover’s mark of 46 percent. Brady connected on 5 shots from outside in a game against Terry Sanford.
Ayanna Williams – Williams is a forward that can step behind the arc and knock down the three ball. The forward finished 2 in three pointers made on her team and third in the three point shooter base on her shooting percentage at 39 percent. The Seventy First Forward shot very well from the arc in the 2nd round of the playoffs against Holy Springs by knocking down 4 threes for the game and finishing with a game high of 23 points.
Ke’Onna Bryant – Just a solid and reliable shooter. Byant is a junior forward who is cable of stepping out and drain the three when need be. Not forcing the three on most occassion, she is usally getting the shot off cause of her guards setting her up and finding her popping out for the shot. Byrant was the best three point shooter on the Bulldogs team this year. Her shooting help her team sweep the regular season and tournament champion this year. Also helping them reach the 3A state finals game.
Nyla Cooper – Hot handed Cooper is a streaky shooter that can catch fire at a moment notice, If you watch her play you would say she shoot as if she has ice in her veins. Never scared to take a big shot. Cooper has tremondous range from the arc. Shooting at a teams best at 30% percent from the field her shooting was instrumental in how her team faired this season.
Amber Nealy – If you saw Nealy stroke, all you would say is, what a pretty stroke she has. Shooting at 30% from the three point line, Nealy is her teams 2nd best shooter. More of a catch and shoot player Nealy is very capable of pulling up off the dribble and draining the three. Her deep threat range was such a big help in the Buccuneers historic season.
Hannah Lewis – She is a prototype shooter. A deep threat for the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. Lewis is a catch and shoot shooter her can get hot at anytime during the course of the game. She was her team leading scorer this season having to step up with her team losing some key players from graduating and transferring. The 5’10 Shooting guard can definitely light it up.
Noni Russel – She never met a shot she didn’t like. Russel is a deep threat every time she touches the floor. She has hit many clutch shots when her team has needed them. You can say she loves the moment and love the three ball. The all state player for Fayetteville Christian can light the floor up at any giving time. Avg 24.1 pts in Conference play this year was #1 in the NCISSA Sandhills conference. Her deep threat ability was the reason why her team finish 2nd in the conference and earn them a birth in the Final four for the state title.
Amaih Savage – Call her smooth, Savage can really shoot the ball. She has a smooth silky stroke beyond the arc. She is a protype shooting guard able to shoot in any area on the court without hesitation. She likes to sit in the corner and recieve the pass and let it fly. Her deep threat can in handy this year for the bulldog with helping them sweep through there conference and getting them to the 3A State title game.
