These are the top players that have been consistent in their performance all year long in helping their team get as far as to the state title game. So here is a look into who they are.
Miya Giles – Jones – Small Forward – EE Smith
is a strong forward who has the ability to score the ball, by pushing the ball in transition and catching the defense off guard when there is a one on one opportunity. Her strong presence in the paint allows her to finish at the basket with power. The district 4 player of the year is definitely a tough scrappy player who will need to bring her tenacious defense against Southeast Guilford
Bobby Smith – Guard – Southeast Raleigh
The 5’10 silky smooth guard who can shoot the mid range jumper anywhere on the court, will definitely be a threat to Mallard Creek when they match up in the State title game. Bobbi will definitely be an important piece to what the Bulldogs will do to for them to come away with the State
Grace Loftin -Guard – Newton Conover Grace Loftin is the Spark that gets her team going she is a force to be reckon with once they face off against there opponent. Loftin demonstrates great determination and grit to to lead her team to victory. Her tough rebounding and drive to score the basketball will be hard to stop.

– Forward – Mallard Creek Junior who played solid in the regions. She continues to improve and help the team in any way she can. The Forward is a pure fighter. She is Fierce and strong inside the paint area when driving in the lane. she is a solid contributor on the glass for her team. Look for her to be a factor when Mallard Creek face off against the Bulldogs.
Kennedi Simmons Kennedi Simmons 5'8" | CG Southeast Guilford | 2020 State NC – Guard – Southeast Guilford The smooth silky shooter has an incrediable ability to knock down the three. Great slashing ability to the basket. Her length causes opponents problems on the defensive end of the floor, she able to find the open player in transition.
Amiya Joyner – Forward – Farmville Central The super sophomore is just scratching the surface when it comes to the game of basketball. She has the ability to dominate the game in so many ways. What stands out is her toughness on the defensive end. She can control the paint on the defensive side of the ball and offensive side just as easily. She definitely will be a tough assignment for Newton Conover when the square off for the 2A title game.
